Uttar Pradesh is experiencing the hottest day of the season, with temperatures soaring to 45.4°C severely impacting daily life across the state.

Due to the extreme heatwave conditions, authorities have changed school timings in several districts to protect students from harsh afternoon temperatures.

The intense heat has also led to unusual and alarming incidents. In one case, a moving motorcycle caught fire, likely due to overheating and extreme environmental conditions, causing panic in the area.

Meanwhile, at Lucknow Zoo, special measures are being taken to protect animals from the scorching heat. Elephants are being bathed repeatedly, and arrangements like cool water, shaded areas, and special diets are being provided for other animals as well.

Weather officials have warned that the heatwave may persist in the coming days, urging people to take precautions and stay safe.

Safety Tips:

  • Avoid going out between 12 PM and 4 PM
  • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water
  • Wear light and loose clothing
  • Take extra care of children and the elderly
