A tragic incident has emerged from Saudi Arabia, where a young man from Meerut lost his life in a road accident.
Mohammad Samad (24–25 years old), a resident of Bahodpur village in Mawana, had recently gone abroad for work. He was employed with Domino’s as a food delivery worker.
According to reports, the accident occurred while he was traveling from Hafr to Majma. His vehicle met with a serious crash, and although he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
The news has left his family and the entire village in deep grief. A wave of mourning has spread across the community as relatives struggle to cope with the sudden loss.
This incident once again highlights the risks faced by Indian workers abroad. Data from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) shows that between 2021 and 2025, as many as 11,757 Indian workers have died in Saudi Arabia.
Road accidents, workplace hazards, and health-related issues are among the leading causes. Experts point to long working hours, fatigue, high-speed travel, and lack of road safety as contributing factors.
The tragedy has sparked concerns over the safety and working conditions of overseas workers, especially in Gulf countries.
